On Wednesday 15 September there is strike action by PPTA members scheduled. The college will be open but all assessments scheduled for senior students will go ahead on Friday 17 September. There will be no programmed classes for students in Years 9 and 10. Should parents/caregivers require students to be supervised there will be classrooms available which will be monitored by non-PPTA members. Please contact the relevant Dean if you need to send your son/daughter to school to be supervised.
If the strike action is called off, normal school and assessment programmes will occur.
Thank you for your co-operation with these changes to our normal routine.

Dear Parents / Caregivers
B BLOCK UPGRADE NEWS
The upgrade of B Block is well underway and as a school community we can look forward to
modernised English and Media Studies teaching spaces. During the demolition phase
asbestos has been discovered which is not totally unexpected as this material was used in
many buildings built in the early 1960’s. As part of the upgrade, all asbestos will be removed
by a professional asbestos removal company before Christmas.
PAID UNION MEETING
TUESDAY 17 NOVEMBER, 2009
To facilitate the Paid Union Meeting that staff are entitled to, the school will have a shortened day on Tuesday 17 November, 2009. This affects Junior students only as Senior students will be on study leave and should attend any scheduled examinations as per normal.
Junior students have examinations scheduled in the morning and must attend after which they will be dismissed at 12.25pm.
