Rutherford college board of trustees is constituted of five parent representatives with other members co-opted on by the board for their particular area of expertise.
All parents will receive a nomination form by 15 march. You can nominate yourself as long as you have a child attending this school. If you know someone who you think would be good as a trustee but they no longer have children attending, you can nominate them if you have a child attending [as long as they agree of course].
It is essential we have the correct information on file for you. Please remember to update any changes if you move or get a new phone or cell phone number. Each family is entitled to up to three votes. This could be mother, father or other caregiver (like step mother, aunty or uncle if they are the main caregiver etc) so please endeavour to get all information to us if want to participate fully in the elections. Please contact us to provide updates.
At Rutherford College we are always looking for ways to improve. In order to guage your level of satisfaction, we would appreciate parents feedback regarding the Kaleidoscope programme. We ask that you complete the attached form which gives you opportunity to rate / comment on challenge, staff, meeting of needs, communication and involvement within the KAL programme.
Thank you for your time and consideration.

Dear Parents / Caregivers
B BLOCK UPGRADE NEWS
The upgrade of B Block is well underway and as a school community we can look forward to
modernised English and Media Studies teaching spaces. During the demolition phase
asbestos has been discovered which is not totally unexpected as this material was used in
many buildings built in the early 1960’s. As part of the upgrade, all asbestos will be removed
by a professional asbestos removal company before Christmas.
