This year the board of trustees elections take place in May. If you are interested in becoming a trustee – please give us a phone call or come along to one of our board meetings to see how it all works. The next meeting is March 15 at 5.30pm. Phone the office for details of venue.
Rutherford college board of trustees is constituted of five parent representatives with other members co-opted on by the board for their particular area of expertise.
All parents will receive a nomination form by 15 march. You can nominate yourself as long as you have a child attending this school. If you know someone who you think would be good as a trustee but they no longer have children attending, you can nominate them if you have a child attending [as long as they agree of course].
It is essential we have the correct information on file for you. Please remember to update any changes if you move or get a new phone or cell phone number. Each family is entitled to up to three votes. This could be mother, father or other caregiver (like step mother, aunty or uncle if they are the main caregiver etc) so please endeavour to get all information to us if want to participate fully in the elections. An entry level position as Grounds Labourer has become available at the College. The job offers the opportunity for further development of groundskeeping skills. The successful applicant will be energetic, and be comfortable working with adults and teenagers. The ability to work in a close-knit team is essential. Remuneration is per the Collective Agreement for Secondary Schools Groundskeeping staff. Police Vetting will be undertaken.

terms 2 & 3 to discuss your plans and goals for the future and to assist you to make
informed decisions. Each student will receive an interview slip the day of their
interview. If the appointment time given does not suit you, please see Mrs Black
(Careers Co-ordinator) to change it.

The Careers Department is at the Toru Street-end of D Block. Staff include: Mrs Reid (HOD Careers; Adult Dean); Mr Sizer (Year 13 Dean); and Mrs Tipa (Careers Co-ordinator). All staff are qualified careers counselors.
