Cultural Committee Applications for next year are available at the school office. If you will be year 11, year 12 or year 13 next year you are most welcome to apply. Applications close on the 7th September 2018.

Work as a Volunteer in Germany

If you are interested in taking a Gap Year in Germany after leaving school, come to a meeting in C12 at lunchtime on Monday, 3rd of September. The Federal German Volunteer Service is currently looking for international Volunteers to get involved in cultural, ecological, sporting, educational and social projects all over Germany. At the meeting I will inform you about the "Federal German Volunteer Service" and I can also guide you through the application process. This is a great opportunity for everyone to get overseas work experience, develop your foreign language skills and be involved in great community projects.

Alice in Wonderland Junior Production Year 9 and 10 only

ALICE IN WONDERLAND AUDITIONS!!!! Sign up at the performing arts office on Monday and Tuesday of Week 7. Acting Auditions will be happening on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday at lunch (5th-7th September) . Please make sure you sign up in one of the slots for an Audition. For those who are looking at an acting role, we encourage you to come along to Thursday after school for a sing along - to listen and learn a section of song. Dance auditions will be held in Week 8.Date to be confirmed so listen out for the notices.  

Cultural Committee Car Wash

Cultural Committee changed date of car wash to the 4th of September due to very bad weather. The car wash will still be outside the old Library after school until 4:30/5pm depending on demand. $5 per car on Tuesday 4th of September.

INVITATION TO ALL YEAR 12 & 13 STUDENTS

Come and find out about how to manage your bank account, how to get an IRD number, how tax works and budgeting etc. This informative workshop will be held in the Careers Department on Wednesday 5th September starting at 2.10pm (period 5). See Miss Ryan in Careers and put your name on the list to attend.

LEAP senior exam timetable

All students with Special Assessment Conditions should stop by the LEAP office to check that your exam entries and conditions are listed correctly on the display board.

Dancebeat Academy Hip Hop Performance

Sydney and her Hip Hop Crew of 7 have been selected to represent Dancebeat Academy and New Zealand at the HHI Hip Hop World Competition in Holland in October this year. They are doing a fundraising performance on the 7th of September in the hall at lunch time. Gold Coin Donation. Please come and show your support.

LEARNER LICENCE – FREE WORKSHOP (OCTOBER SCHOOL HOLIDAYS)

If you signed up to attend the FREE two day Learner Licence Workshop in the October School Holidays here at school, please come to the Careers Department to collect a permission letter. Spaces are limited for this workshop - see Miss Ryan TODAY  (Monday 3rd September).

On Friday, 24 August we celebrated the 56th Annual Rutherford Memorial Day.  It was an absolute privilege and pleasure to have as our guest speaker Sir Pita Sharples. A man of huge mana, wisdom and a man with strong links to the west and Rutherford College. So, why do we have a Rutherford Memorial Day?  There are three reasons.
