Te Roopu Kapa Haka o Te Kotuku has been in a campaign for Polyfest for the last 3 weeks. They will be performing on the Saturday, 21 March at the Manukau Sports bowl as they celebrate their 50th year as Rutherford College Kapa Haka Team.
In the mix of the already busy schedule we as a kapa have, we have also been in a campaign against anti-bullying by doing 20 push-ups a day as a kapa till the day we perform and posting it on facebook to promote anti-bullying.
This campaign started after a young 9-year-old boy, Quaden Bayles who has dwarfism and autism was bullied and how he did not want to be on this earth anymore because of it.
Join the wave whanau. This needs to stop.
