ANZ Championship Netball Game

On Wednesday night, our Netball Premier Development team had the opportunity to attend an ANZ championship netball game at the Trust Stadium to watch the Mystics. First we met at McDonald's for a healthy snack and then walked down to the Trust Stadium ( great bonding session). The game was extremely close with the Tactix winning 42-39. We all had fun time dancing, singing and just spending time with each other, we were able to watch and learn from the game to put into our own. Queensland Netball Tour Panui

Tuesday 17 April was D day for the Queensland Netball Tour group. As soon as all 27 girls and 3 teachers (Jenny Wilson, Deborah Lehndorf and Gabby Mackenzie) met at the airport energy was buzzing amongst us all. After having a delayed flight, leading to a late arrival to the Gold Coast, all girls had to get a great sleep to prepare for the theme park filled day to follow. Movie World and Wet'n'Wild held a combination of thrills and relaxation for us all. Day 2 was our first lot of games against All Saints St. Anglican school. Three great…

Front Gate and Drive

This year we have an increased focus around making the main entrance to the school a safe environment for both our students and vehicle users. Our first initiative in term 1 to restrict access into and out of the grounds before and after school, has been effective. Thank you to parents for adjusting your drop off and pick up routines. At the end of the school day, the drive is generally opened up for usual usage within 7 to 8 minutes of the final bell. A further development took place during the April holidays where the vegetation along the driveway…

Year 13 Hospitality

The Year 13 Hospitality students are studying food preservation techniques as part of their Level 3 assessment. They will be learning to make pickles, relishes, jams, chutneys and preserves. These are becoming lost skills and it is important for our students to learn food sustainability and to understand how to minimise wastage. We are looking for donations of excess fruit and/or vegetables from our gardens in our community please. These can be dropped into the school office during school hours and will be very gratefully received. We are happy to swap for some preserves from last year's cohort.
