Matariki – Raranga Flax Weaving (Beginners)

As we introduce the Maori New Year on Friday 24 June, we are delighted to inform you that we will be running Raranga – Flax Weaving (Beginners) workshops on 24 September & 12 November 9:30am – 3:30pm for $65 The workshop will cover: • Harvest Harakeke correctly, using traditional Maori Tikanga • Prepare your Harakeke correctly for weaving • Weave at least two different kinds of Harakeke containers or Kete using traditional Maori Tikanga For more details and to book click here For a full list of all our upcoming courses visit our website

Online German Quiz Night

The Auckland Goethe Society hosted their annual German Quiz Night a few weeks ago—for the first time ever on Zoom! The night was a fun test of German trivia knowledge and teamwork. There was an excellent turnout with 55 attendees and 14 teams. Tinirau Hohepa, Maia Parker and Luca Boyack came 4th with their team and will recieve a bag a goodies from the Goethe Institut. Gut gemacht!

There is some quality pieces of work that students have worked hard to create. We would love for the community to get behind our talented students and join us for a glass of wine and a few nibbles while we view good artwork together.
