Child Trafficking – Year 13 Geography
On Thursday, 1 July the Year 13 Geography students welcomed Brian Saipe and Tony Steele from the NGO Child Rescue, to talk about their work in the prevention of human trafficking. This is the topic of the last Level 3 internal assessment known as Contemporary Geographic Issue.
Child Rescue works in a number of countries mainly in Asia where 70% of human trafficking occurs. It has been confronting learning about the situations that many children have to contend with. However, in this piece of work we are also analysing the possible solutions and roles of governments, NGOs and consumers such as ourselves.
Thanks Child Rescue for the work that you do rescuing and rehabilitating children and in raising awareness.
