Each year there are over 200 evening, weekend and day-time courses available so take the opportunity to study a subject you’ve always been interested in, refine an existing skill or branch out into unexplored territory.
We offer a wide variety of courses in Recreation and Health; Computing; Home, Garden and DIY; Cooking; Boating and Navigation; Languages; Business and Finance; Employment and Training; Second Chance Education; Art, Crafts and Photography; and Music and Dance.
So whether your interests run to languages: Portuguese, te reo Māori, Māori pronunciation, or gardening: Caring for Herbs, Gardening Basics, The Edible Garden or family meals: Cooking with Kids for Kids, Healthy Family Cooking, Vegetarian Cooking, there really is something for everyone. We also specialise in English as a Second Language (ESL) with a range of classes to choose from.
All of our tutors are qualified in teaching to adults – many of them specialists in their particular field – and you will find that learning is easy in the relaxed sociable atmosphere of Community Education.
