On Wednesday, 22 May 2019, six Year 11-13 German language students attended the German Quiz Night of The Goethe Society at The University Of Auckland.

They provided delicious food and refreshments and a great opportunity to meet Kiwis who use German in their professions. We also got to meet University students who have been studying German for 7 years!

There were three groups of competitors, native speakers, University students, and High School students. Rutherford College students won first place in the High School category.

On behalf of Year 11-13 German students, we’d like to thank our German teacher Mrs. Petra Scheffer-Coslett for giving us the opportunity to participate in this fun and memorable quiz night.
