Holocaust Speaker – Thursday, 2 August – Rutherford College Hall

Next week on Thursday, 2 August Rutherford College is extremely privileged to host a speaker from the Holocaust Outreach Programme of Education. Vivianne Spiegal, a holocaust survivor will share her amazing story of survival.

Vivianne was born in France and survived the Holocaust by being hidden in a small village, sadly her parents were not so lucky and were both deported to Auschwitz.

This is the third year we have been able to host such an event and as with the previous years all Year 10 Social Studies classes will be attending this presentation. This is a unique opportunity for our students to hear a first hand recount directly from a holocaust survivor and so better understand the hardships faced during the Holocaust.

A gold coin donation would be appreciated to assist with costs.
