On Wednesday, 4 March a group of girls from year 9-12 got the opportunity to learn how to skate with Amber Clyde who is a professional skater.
When she was 12 years old she got bullied for skating because she was a girl so she stopped for 10 years. At 22 years old Amber started skating again and she also set up a skate school for girls.
In this six week programme, we will learn how to skate, improve our skills and learn new tricks. Our first session was very enjoyable and it was a great way for us to get out of our comfort zones and attempt new things.
We had loads of fun and everyone enjoyed themselves. Amber is so sweet and a great coach, we can’t wait for next week!
