KBB Music Festival 2019

On Wednesday, 14 August, the Rutherford College Concert Band competed in the annual KBB Music Festival held at the Holy Trinity Cathedral. This festival is the largest regional youth music event in New Zealand involving over 4,000 young musicians from over 50 Auckland secondary schools.

The concert band presented a wonderful program consisting of 5 pieces that engaged the audience. They came home with a bronze award for the second year.

A huge thanks to our conductor Pearl Huang for all the hard work that she has put into the band this year, thanks to Mrs Taula for her support and all staff who supported us all year. Last and most importantly, a big congratulations to all the Rutherford College Concert Band performers who represented our school with professionalism and musicianship.
