Michele Lee – Head Girl 2010 – Proud Rutherfordian

Michele is the eldest of three sisters to have attended Rutherford College. She was an exceptional student whose commitment across all areas of school life had a natural progression to becoming Head Girl. Michele was involved in many activities during her five years such as,

  • Netball, Squash, Debating, Student Newspaper, Robotics, coordinated the 40 Hour Famine;
    and went on to gain a host of awards across the years, some of which were,
  • Doug Tawhiti Award, Eric Clark Award

Michele has since gone on to study a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Arts (Media Studies major) conjoint at the University of Auckland. She recently embarked on a study journey to the University of Western Ontario in Canada where she completed her final semester of law school on exchange. She is currently completing the Professional Legal Studies course to be admitted to the bar later in the year. As well as her incredible work ethic and organisational skills the character trait that made her much loved and admired by the student and staff alike, was her compassion and thoughtfulness. She was determined and focused on her goals but there was always an aura of kindness and care about everything she did. It was all about people for Michele, and we know she will continue in this vein as a professional person.
