National Top Scholar Awards Ceremony
On Wednesday, 2 May, I once again had the pleasure to attend the New Zealand Scholarship Top Scholar Awards Ceremony within the Grand Hall at Parliament in Wellington. Miss Exeter and I flew down to meet up with New Zealand’s top Dance Scholar Liana Sabetian and her Mum and Dad for the ceremony attended by only 34 of New Zealand’s finest students.
It was definitely a proud day for Rutherford College to be part of these prestigious awards. Liana was rewarded for her amazing work ethic and as with so many successful people it is her humility and care for what she does and the people who have supported her that really stand out. The Sabetian Whanau had much to celebrate and it was fitting that our wonderful Miss Exeter who provided the expert guidance to Liana was able to be in attendance and to be to share this experience. For Miss Exeter it is the fifth time that one of her students has been awarded the top result in Dance. Truly amazing. I just felt privileged to be in attendance.
