Further to our previous reporting of Dylan Chapman, and sister Emma, competing at the Open Water Auckland Secondary School Champs back in February, Dylan has now competed at the NZ Secondary School Open Water Championships. This was held at Main Beach, Mt Maunganui on Saturday 2 April.

Competing in the 1250m event, Dylan battled the cream of New Zealand’s Secondary School open water swimmers and finished a creditable 7th place in his Division. He has had a big year to date with competing at Auckland Champs, and CSA Athletics Championships, and Western Zone Swimming Championships. This Tuesday he will again be competing this time at the Champion of Champions Swimming event, along with Amy Thomson 9FN and Dylan Lim 10WO.
