It is pleasing to announce that the start of the school mega project has begun. The first phase of this is the lifting of the administration roof and replacing the existing roof with a pitched roof. Administration and reception staff will move back in there once this is completed while further planning and consultation take place for the new administration build at the front of the school where the old library use to be..

Also, within the mega project is the re-roofing of the School Hall and the Technology block, a complete electrical wiring upgrade school wide, the improvement of student and staff toilets plus further upgrades to Science Labs in D Block.

The roofing and electrical upgrade work is being front ended so that when we get to the more exciting changes and modifications to building this infrastructure, this work will be largely completed. This approach although not obvious in terms of seeing new, or upgraded, completed buildings and the desired wow factor does make common sense. New builds or upgrades with faulty roofing or wiring create unwanted challenges.

The extended vision is that the existing staffroom will be remodelled to become the drama room which will allow all of the performing arts to be located in a common space close to the hall. The existing admin will be remodelled to be the staffroom and the green space at the front of the school will be used for the establishment of a new admin facility.
