On Saturday, 1 September 2018 the Rutherford College Robotics Teams attended their first scrimmage for the season at Lynfield College to trial our newly designed robots.

The results exceeded our expectations this early in the season. The team of Tony Schaufelberger 10HA, Eddie Schaufelberger 10MK and Amanda Lowe 10HA qualified for the quarter-final elimination round, the team of Stefan Zdravkovic 12HC, Alex Lasenby 12HC and Max Pearce 12MI reached the quarter finals and the team of Petar Zdravkovic 10HA and Chris Adams 10MK were eliminated in the semi-finals by the eventual winning alliance.

It was an exciting day with many ideas gleaned for improving our robots before the next scrimmage.
