Throughout Term 1, and now Term 2, we have had students involved in Rock climbing each week at Vertical Adventures. This has led to a few of those students competing at a couple of Rock Climbing tournaments. On Sunday 22nd May the Northern Rocks – Boulder tournament was held at Northern Rocks as part of the Auckland Secondary School Climbing Series.
We had students competing, and we are pleased to advise that Tyra Ibbott 12PL won the Senior Girls section of the event. As a consequence she also currently leads the Auckland Climbing Series with two tournaments to go.
The next event is Vertical Adventures – Top Rope competition on 19 June.
