On February 21 and 22 Aurora Terry and Joseph Fray competed in the Oceania Open Jiu-jitsu Championships, which was held in Auckland.

Jiu-Jitsu is a martial art, combat sport, and a self-defence system that focuses on grappling, and in particular ground fighting.

Joseph received Bronze in both the Juvenile Mens Under 81.6kgs “Gi” and Juvenille Mens (under 79.8kgs) “No Gi” divisions. Aurora took out the Gold medals in the Gi Youth under 56.7 kgs and No Gi Youth under 61.7 kgs divisions.
