NZ Secondary Schools National Wrestling Championships

On the 31st of August, the NZSS Wrestling Championships took place at Rutherford College. This being the first wrestling championship I’ve participated in, I thought it would be all scary and nerve racking. The day ran smoothly and all schools showed sportsmanship and competed with pride. Our team received 7 medal placings plus receiving both top awards of best male team and best overall team. A fantastic day with a great sport that is growing each year.
