We entered a boys team into the Auckland Squash Team Championship held at the National Squash Centre on the Tuesday, 18 & Wednesday, 19 June 2019

The students representing Rutherford College in this event were:  Austin Lorenzen, Callum Campbell-Ross, Marceau Imbert, Arrie Putter and Zac Thomson.

The boys came up against some tough opponents suffering losses against  St Kentigens and Elim A teams. However on the second day, they found their fighting spirit and had a win against Elim B and a “hold your breath” play off against Western Springs only narrowly being defeated. The player of the tournament was Callum Campbell Ross who only dropped one match in the event.

As always, our students represented the school with pride and were great sporting ambassadors exhibiting sporting fair play.
