Dear Parents and Caregivers I hope you and your family have remained safe and dry…
Students are certainly a predominant source of volunteers for our local sporting community and without them, many sports and the number of teams we can enter would definitely be more restricted. The connections and relationships being built between our local primary and intermediate school through our student volunteers continue to strengthen trust and social cohesion.
I cannot stress enough the importance and gratitude we have for this and I would personally like to thank the following students for their continuous support helping at our Primary and Intermediate netball field days. Without this unwavering support, we would truly struggle.
Message from Taupaki school regarding Netball umpires
Oh my goodness Gill, your girls were AMAZING!!!! I cannot thank you enough for coming to my rescue. They represented Rutherford and themselves incredibly well; polite, confident, helpful and friendly, all wrapped up with a high standard of umpiring!
A huge thank you goes out to Jay Huggins and Josiah Kawana-Tai for helping at Rutherford Primary students with their football.
Message from Rutherford primary teacher:
Both boys led a highly successful warm up and game. The children involved loved it, especially Jay’s warm encouraging manner. It really brought out the best in our kids. We have also had feedback from parents to say what a fabulous afternoon the children had.
Thank you for whakawhanaungatanga, we are so lucky to have you next door.
