Rutherford College qualified being one of the top 2 teams from the Term Two C-Grade inter-school competitions played at the Central Auckland, North Harbour and East Auckland venues.

Brandan Tan, Samson Wen and Danielle Huggins spent Thursday, 16 August at ActivZone Glenfield playing four other schools using a seven match format: 6 singles, 1 doubles.  Each match was played under a best of 3 sets to 11 points format.

The Rutherford team beat three schools (Long Bay 5-2, Westlake Boys 4-3, and Glendowie 6-1) and so narrowly lost to St Kentigerns 3-4, some of the games finished with exciting and nail-biting tie-breakers.

Well done Rutherford, winning silver medals, they did so well, and a great time was had by all.
