Rutherford Travel students were invited for a free tour of the new Weta Workshop and All Blacks Experience which was kindly taken up on 14 June. With the exception of one, none of us had been to either of these new city attractions before. Students loved learning about the special effects and models used at Weta as well as the History of the All Blacks and competing against each other is a variety of tests and games.
We also took the opportunity to head up the SkyTower and were rewarded with a beautiful day. Students made the most of the quieter times to work on their Auckland Geography and landmarks. We had a thoroughly enjoyable educational day out and are hoping to visit other Auckland attractions soon to learn about more work roles in the industry.
