Students from Tūrangawaewae have been looking forward to starting our vegetable plot since the day we made our mini-greenhouses.

We brainstormed ways to deliver vegetable mix and compost to the site. After some discussion, it was agreed to borrow a wheelbarrow and a trolley. At the planting site, students participated in measuring out the site, cutting the weed mat, spreading newspaper, putting out, mixing and spreading the soil.

We all had lots of fun and look forward to transplanting our seedlings from the greenhouses to the vegetable plot in the next week.
