Year 11 Māori Leadership Day at AUT

The Year 11 Māori students attended a Māori Leadership Day at AUT with other secondary school students in Auckland. It was an opportunity for our students to meet current AUT Māori students, look at what available study opportunities there and to discuss and workshop issues concerning rangatahi Māori.

Students were inspired by a current AUT student who spoke about studying abroad in America and how identity is important to him as Māori. Students were also involved in leadership workshops and were amazed by the facilities of the university. It was opportunity to also prepare for NCEA exams coming up.

Kia ora to Matua Sam Pilisi and the AUT Crew for supporting our students and we look forward to coming back.
