Last week the 12OED students participated in the first of their three day tramps. This tramp started at the Arataki Visitor Centre on Scenic Drive. We completed the loop track which comprised of 3 individual tracks. They were the Beveridge Track, Pipeline Track and Slip Track. Our students handled the walk well, especially with the steep climb on the slip track. Together with a group of 61 students, it took us just over 2 hours to complete the walk. This was a great training walk for our students as our next walk is the much steeper and longer Karamatura Track in Huia.
