Year 12 Outdoor Education trip

On Wednesday, 12 September, Mr Doak, Ms Simpson and Mr Ross accompanied the Year 12 Outdoor Education class on their final trip to Extreme Edge West where they tested their climbing skills on the vertical and with some, overhanging walls.

Students worked towards achieving personal goals of climbing harder routes and pushing their physical and mental limits. Many students conquered their fear of heights and gained self confidence in the process.

Students also learned how to minimise risks associated with rock climbing and put that knowledge into practice. Rope skills and belaying are crucial in rock climbing which ensured the safety of their peers. All of this culminated in a successful rock climbing trip.
