We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Japanese teacher to join our Languages faculty in a permanent, full-time position.

This is an exciting opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about language learning and enjoys inspiring young people to develop their confidence, cultural understanding and communication skills.

The successful applicant will:

  • Teach Japanese across the secondary school, with classes potentially ranging from junior to senior levels.
  • Deliver engaging, well-planned lessons that cater for students with a range of abilities and learning needs.
  • Inspire students to develop their Japanese language skills and appreciation of Japanese culture.
  • Support students to achieve their academic potential, including at NCEA level.
  • Contribute positively to the wider life of the school and Languages faculty.
  • Build strong, respectful relationships with students, colleagues and whānau.
  • Participate in co-curricular and wider school activities where appropriate.

This position commences January 2027.
