English Teacher (Media Studies)

We are seeking an enthusiastic and innovative English teacher to join our English Faculty. The successful applicant will bring particular expertise and enthusiasm for Media Studies, with the ability to inspire students through engaging, contemporary and creative learning experiences.

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity for a teacher who can bring English and Media Studies to life. You will have the opportunity to:

• Teach engaging English programmes across the secondary school.
• Make a significant contribution to our Media Studies programme, including at NCEA level.
• Develop students' ability to critically analyse media, texts and the world around them.
• Experience with print and audio media would be a definite advantage.
• Encourage creativity, critical thinking and confident communication.
• Use contemporary media, digital platforms and popular culture to engage learners.
• Develop students' skills in media production, storytelling and communication.
• Create an inclusive and stimulating classroom environment where students are encouraged to express their ideas.
• Contribute positively to the wider life of the English Faculty and school.
