Double Success at the Surf Boat Championships

Two Rutherford students, Luan Vega Marzano and Amy Cosslett, competed at the NZSLS Easter Regional Camps and North Island Surf Boat Championships last weekend. Luan represented his Bethells Beach Surf Life Saving Club, while Amy rowed for Muriwai Surf Life Saving Club, competing against teams from across the North Island. 

Amy and her team achieved a strong result, finishing with a silver medal. Luan also had a successful weekend, with his crew earning one gold medal and a bronze medal. Both Rutherford students have now qualified for the Surf Boat Nationals in March, and the school wishes them all the best for the upcoming competition.
