Rugby Girls given special opportunity at Blues Rugby Game

Rugby Girls given special opportunity at Blues Rugby Game

Seini Buadromo, Treashalia Cooper, Florence Foai Fuga, Rosa Hewson, Abigail Mataafa, Poppy Matafeo, Lilianthony Tuifua, Grace Tutini, Akosita Vakacokailagi were lucky enough to head along to the Blues vs Hurricanes

Some of our girl’s rugby players (Seini Buadromo, Treashalia Cooper, Florence Foai Fuga, Rosa Hweson, Abigail Mataafa, Poppy Matafeo, Lilianthony Tuifua, Grace Tutini, Akosita Vakacokailagi) were lucky enough to head along to the Blues vs Hurricanes game at Eden Park on Saturday 16 May.

The girls got the chance to be part of the “Blue Mile”, where they welcomed the Blues players as they arrived at the stadium.

Seeing the players up close and being right in the middle of all the excitement before the game was cool for the girls.

They were also part of the Guard of Honour out on the field before kickoff. Walking onto Eden Park with the crowd building around them was a special moment and something that made the whole night feel even bigger.

After that, the girls were able to enjoy the game and take in the atmosphere of such a big home match. A big thank you to the Auckland Blues for giving our girls this opportunity. It was a great experience for them and something they will be talking about for a while.

Special thanks to Ana Aramoana and Tina Dower for chaperoning the girls on the night.
