Our exchange in New Zealand

We are Sebastian, Teo and Tizian and we came to Auckland as exchange students. When we left the Airport of Munich on the 16th of February, we did not just leave the city. We left our home country, our school, our family, and our friends, to live in New Zealand for two months. We arrived in Auckland after 30 hours on the journey and the next day we started going to our school - Rutherford College. Our first impression already told us that school in New Zealand is completely different from what we were used to.

Assembly, school uniform, Haka: Lots of unknown things that felt strange at first but became part of our daily life within our stay.

The eight weeks we were in New Zealand we stayed together with our exchange partners’ families who all lived on the Te Atatu Peninsula. In this time, we had many different trips to cool and interesting places that we loved to see.

At the end we want to say thank you to all people for the awesome experience and would recommend everyone to learn a foreign language and go on an exchange as well.
