Applications are now open for the School Based Teacher Training Programme for 2026.

Rutherford College is a partner school with the Teachers Institute who run school-based training programmes for Secondary School Teachers.

If you have ever considered becoming a teacher, we invite you to make contact with the school to discuss options. Alternatively you can see more information about the programme through their website.

Initially, please check here to see if you meet the initial eligibility criteria.

You can apply directly with the Teachers Institute by completing their enrolment form. They can match you with a partner school if you meet the criteria and are accepted into the programme.
