Lennart Wimmer: Ice Hockey Trailblazer

Meet Lennart Wimmer, a Year 13 student who is gearing up for an extraordinary opportunity as he has been chosen to represent New Zealand at the U18 Ice Hockey World Championships in Turkey this year. 

Following their gold medal in 2023, they are now facing even tougher opponents in a higher division, which is set to be an exhilarating challenge on the international stage. As preparations begin for the big event, Lennart is also playing for the Auckland Adult Summer league, the NZBHL, where not only is he the rookie top scorer of the league, but he is also leading the scoreboard for his team.  Lennart's thriving in both local and international hockey scenes hints at a thrilling future ahead for him.
