New Zealand's U18 Women's Ice Hockey team make history by securing Gold in the Women’s World Championship
Zadia Paulse, along with her New Zealand's U18 Women's Ice Hockey team, made history by securing Gold in the Women’s World Championship division B. Playing from January 9th to January 15th, 2024, the team's standout goalie, Zadia, achieved a remarkable 92.4% save percentage. Zadia faced 119 shots in 4 out of 5 games, allowing only 9 goals. Notable victories included a 3-1 win against Mexico, where she earned the Best Player of the Game award, and a 2-0 triumph against Iceland.
In the final game, Zadia faced 20 shots, allowing 3 goals, but the team's collective effort secured a thrilling 4-3 win and the prized Gold. This momentous achievement underscores Zadia's dedication to persistence, practice, and positivity, instilling immense pride in Rutherford College. We are extremely proud of her recent success in her ice hockey career!
