On Saturday June 15th and Sunday 16th 2024, Amy Thomson competed in the New Zealand Secondary Schools Cross Country Championships in Christchurch. She competed in both individual and team races. 

On Saturday, she undertook a challenging run with 100 girls starting simultaneously, despite the freezing conditions, she placed 23rd in the Junior Girls category. 

On Sunday, as part of Auckland's junior B team, Amy contributed to securing an impressive third place, showcasing the team's hard work and dedication. Overall, the weekend highlighted Amy's promising future in racing, and we are very proud of her achievements.
