Tanner Costin - Diving into Success

Earlier this year, Tanner Costin, a talented young diver, was selected to represent New Zealand at the Dubai National Diving Championships, held from March 19th to 26th. Competing against participants from 15 to 20 countries, he showcased impressive skill, securing 4th place in both the A Boys 1m and 3m events for the 16-18 age group. Although narrowly missing out on a podium finish, the experience was invaluable, providing Tanner with the opportunity to compete on a prestigious international stage.

Following this, from May 10th to the 13th, Tanner represented Auckland Diving at the New Zealand South Island Diving Championship in Dunedin, where he placed 2nd on the 16-18 Boys 1m springboard and 1st on the 16-18 Boys 3m springboard. Continuing his strong performance, from July 4th to the 10th, he competed at the New Zealand National Diving Championships in Wellington, placing 2nd in both the 16-18 Boys 1m and 3m events, and earning 1st place in the 14-18 Boys 3m synchro. Although he didn't achieve all the results he was aiming for, these competitions have provided valuable experience and preparation for upcoming international events later this year and into 2025.

Representing New Zealand at such significant events is an honor, and Tanner’s performances highlight his potential to achieve great things in the world of diving. His accomplishments have made us very proud, and we look forward to his future successes.
