Students volunteering at the Halberg Awards

Students volunteering at the Halberg Awards

The Halberg Awards is New Zealand's premier event dedicated to recognizing and celebrating exceptional achievements in sports across the nation.

On Tuesday, February 18th, 2025, six students (Alex Buchanan, Dylan Chapman, Cameron Deo, Chloe Ellis, Tio Riki, Ihsan Sameen Rafin) from our school had the opportunity to volunteer at the 62nd ISPS Handa Halberg Awards, held at Spark Arena. This prestigious event serves as the major annual fundraiser for the Halberg Foundation, playing a crucial role in improving the lives of physically disabled New Zealanders through sport and recreation.

Our students took on essential responsibilities during the event, assisting by escorting guests to their tables and contributing to fundraising efforts for the Halberg Foundation.

They thoroughly enjoyed being part of this evening, where they had the chance to watch the awards ceremony while enjoying a meal.

We extend our gratitude to the Halberg Foundation for providing our students with the chance to be involved in this significant event, and we commend our students for representing our school with dignity and enthusiasm.
